Meet Jasmijn
Hi! I’m Jasmijn, a photographer and retoucher based in Deventer, the Netherlands. I have a love for serene colors and creating for brands in the fashion, hair and product scene.
My journey into photography started back in 2014, thanks to my sister. She bought her first camera, and I loved borrowing it whenever I could. Through her, I realised that every image we see in magazines, advertising campaigns and stores is taken by a photographer.
I’ve always been drawn to the technical side of photography. Lighting is where the magic happens. Finding the right composition, keeping the styling minimal, and creating beautiful, natural skin tones are the details that make me genuinely excited about both photography and retouching.
When I’m not behind the camera (or behind my laptop, let’s be honest, your images need to be retouched!), you’ll probably find me on the tennis court, perfecting my latte art or curled up on the sofa with my cat and a book.
So if you had to describe me, it would be: photography, books, cats and coffee.

About Tom
Hi! I’m Tom. I look after production at Studio Taupe. I have a love for smooth-running shoots and making sure the image the client is looking for actually gets made on set.
I entered Studio Taupe back in 2016. Back then Jasmijn was still working in a department store and renting a studio with the money she earned there. I wanted to make sure she could earn from her photography, so she could have her studio without spending all her hard-earned money on it. That was the moment she shifted away from working in a store to running her photography studio full time. Through that, I realised how much went into the planning of photography. Schedules, equipment, locations, budgets: the details that keep a shoot calm from start to finish.
I’ve always been drawn to the practical and technical side of a project. Organisation is where the magic happens. Keeping the day on track, solving things before they become problems, and making sure the set-up supports the creative vision are the details that make me genuinely excited about production.
When I’m not on set, I’m on the tennis court (though mostly not playing with Jasmijn: we try to keep work and tennis a little separate), watching Formula 1 or building apps.

Our work is available through Stills. A premium licensing agency.
They work with a select group of photographers represented by them, all with their own unique photography style. The images shown on Stills are being used by brands, agencies and creatives worldwide. Brands using the images include Google, Netflix, L’Oréal and Aesop.
Alongside licensing, they also offer commissioned shoots, so potential clients can be introduced to us directly through them.

The space
Our studio
A space in Deventer for fashion, beauty and product work.
The studio is deliberately clean. With little to nothing that can reflect, and no daylight that can influence the images, we keep full control over the light. That way we can offer consistency from shoot to shoot.
